Traffic lights  in New Providence have long been a mjpr problem for Bahamians that use our roadways. The never ceasing parade of flashing lights, blown bulbs, and damaged fixtures has led to safety issues, traffic accidents and overall frustration. The overriding question is why?

The WTP report answers some of those questions and the accompanying spreadsheet outlines the level of attention the system requires. We believe that this may be the first time ever that this type of detailed information has been available to the general public on this subject and allows every citizen the ability to make informed opinion on the matter. It is the sort of thing that speaks to the need for the Freedom of Information Act.

We ask our members and the public at large to read, analyize and make suggestions on how to proceed with a dilemma we are now properly informed about.
